Gabon’s National Day was also marked by the launch of a special book for children to provide an interactive and entertaining way to learn about the country’s flora and fauna in the National Parks. Every child visiting the pavilion will be issued the free book upon completion of a ‘treasure hunt’ within.
In addition, a forum titled ‘Investing in Gabon for a Sustainable Economy’ was held to provide an overview of the sustainable landscape in the country. Speakers included world-renowned global warming expert Professor Lee White, who led Gabon’s mission as head of the African Group of Nations at the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow.
The Gabon Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai offers visitors the opportunity to walk through an immersive, experiential holographic recreation of the Congo Basin’s rainforest and to witness first-hand the fauna and flora that flourishes there. Gabon’s theme for Expo is ‘Building a Sustainable Future’ and visitors to the pavilion will be fully immersed in the extraordinary natural wonders, learning about the vital role the region play as the ‘lungs’ of Africa and its contributions to overcome global warming.
