Dubai: Art4you Gallery will present a unique virtual 3d art exhibition celebrating the Abstract Art obought together from all around the world in one platform from 10th of July 2021 until 30 September 2021 at Art4you Gallery Virtual Space.
RE-CONNECT – will explore the presence of the 15 international artists with a selection of 50 engaging works in a stream of abstractions. Breathing new life into found objects, collaging different materials to create conversations between texture & content with abstract styles, Art4you Gallery will honor the abstract theme by using different types of materials.
“Understanding abstract art requires an inventiveness that invites you to discover for yourself the meaning behind the work. It is not easy to grasp, like still life’s, portraits, or other form of representational art, because it is open to interpretation in a way that representational art is not.”, says the Founder – Rengi Cherian.
“We Art4you Gallery depend on visionaries to open up hidden doors, so we might glimpse parts of the world, and parts of ourselves, that may otherwise remain hidden. Vision is the specialty of abstract artists, and over the past 100+ years, many famous abstract paintings have succeeded in enlarging humanity’s view. The visionaries who created those images not only endowed us, the viewers, with the gift of new things to see; they offered us entirely new ways of seeing. Abstract art uses a visual language of shape, form, colour and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. It does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect. It is often seen as carrying a moral dimension, in that it can be seen to stand for virtues such as order, purity, simplicity and spirituality.”, says Jesno Jackson, the curator of the show.
Our participating artists here found inspiration in images of spare landscapes, urban structures and geographic patterns and frequently explores opposing concepts such as complexity and simplicity, or repetition and diversity. With their creative process both intentional and spontaneous, they blended paint, textural marks, and hand-painted paper, adding, and scraping away layers to create more organic compositions. The use of geometric shapes and patterns is a unifying stroke in abstract paintings — structure within abstraction, painting the familiar with the ambiguous. Each artist gives the viewer a point of connection with abstract art. Their process evolves after a period of intense thoughts, where emotions are released and set free to completion.
You will be able to see the ways the artist sought freedom in their modes of expression, and they help viewers open their minds to new ways of seeing. Abstraction continues to open new doors to us as we try to comprehend the endless complexities our evolving society presents us with. By drawing on the examples of the great Abstract artists of the past, the Abstract artists of today and tomorrow can hopefully help us translate our contemporary anxieties and fears and help us to see beyond the limitations of our own eyes.
The exhibition will feature works from Aleksandra Orgorkiewicz, Aparna Sreejith, Abubakr Moaz, Kumar Chadayamangalam, Asawari Deoras, Brown D Ojoba, Parul Sosa, Luis Roca Brito, Teresa Albert, Sherizee Sean Acot, Suzanne Khayat, Tarini Agarwal, Rabah El Awaar, Ranjith Raghupathy, and Varsha Sehgal.
