(Lengnau, Switzerland – June 2020) The True Thinline collection makes once again design headlines by winning the Delta Selection 2020 for its True Thinline Gem. A stunning Rado timepiece made in collaboration with Spanish designer Inma Bermúdez. The Delta Selection recognizes the work performed by industrial designers and production companies and is the benchmark in the sector.
The True Thinline Gem was the result of the collaboration between Rado and award-winning Spanish designer Inma Bermúdez that brought luxurious materials and intriguing elements to the Rado True Thinline. Combining facetted sapphire crystal, the True Thinline Gem Limited Edition uses a unique play of light absorption, reflection and refraction to create the illusion of depth and thickness in the brand’s ground breaking thinnest watch.
This awarded timepiece is the epitome of elegance and sophistication with innovative design, and is limited to 1,001 pieces. Its playful and light dial also features 12 diamonds and gold coloured accents. The True Thinline Gem is proudly made of white high-tech ceramic making it extremely light and comfortable at only 5.6mm thickness. You might almost forget you are wearing it but just a quick glance at your wrist and its beauty will captivate you.
Rado that has always had a strong focus on materials and design is very honoured to be recognized by the Delta Awards, which have a long-lived recognition in the industrial design discipline. The watch will be exhibited at the “Best Design Exhibition” that due to Covid-19 will be held in spring 2021 in Barcelona.
Rado is known as the Master of Materials for the way it has revolutionised traditional watchmaking, leading the industry by introducing high-tech ceramic, ultra-light high-tech ceramic, colourful high-tech ceramic and Ceramos to its design-led collections. An award-winning designer with numerous prestigious international prizes to its name, and considered the most forward-thinking design player in the watch industry today, Rado has always been a pioneer and leader, setting the standard and raising the bar.
