Students at GEMS Education’s CBSE curriculum schools across the UAE have achieved outstanding results in the 2020 board exams for Grade 12. Their scores have continued to raise the bar of academic excellence, despite the challenges and uncertainties presented by the ongoing global pandemic.
GEMS Education CBSE schools have upheld their impressive record of accomplishment with an outstanding 100 per cent pass rate in the board exams. Of the 1,930 students who appeared for the exam, 40.4 per cent scored above 90 per cent, 23.4 per cent scored between 85 and 90 per cent, and 99.6 per cent scored over 60 per cent. The overall average among GEMS students for 2020 stands at 85.9 per cent.
Commenting on the results and achievements of students, Michael Guzder, Vice President – Education at GEMS Education, said: “Principals, parents, teachers and pupils of all GEMS Education CBSE schools have waited anxiously for the Grade 12 CBSE results this year. All concerned now have every reason to be relieved and justifiably proud, because the results have surpassed all expectations. Not only have the pupils scored well, but our belief in the CBSE has been reinforced, with pupils not negatively impacted where percentages are concerned.
“This year has seen teachers and pupils overcome COVID-19 lockdowns, online classes and other barriers to emerge triumphant. This is testament to the dedication and commitment displayed all round – including from parents, whose support has been tremendously encouraging. Congratulations to all our students, parents and teachers on another brilliant year of CBSE results! Pupils can now look forward to joining their colleges of choice at the earliest.”
